Palace Theater Announces 2013-2014 Education Series

PALACE THEATER ANNOUNCES 2013-2014 EDUCATION SERIES

WATERBURY – From lessons in American history to bully-prevention tips for multiple-grade levels, the Palace Theater’s 2013-2014 Education Series takes everyday learning from page to stage with four new theatrical presentations.

Endorsed by the Connecticut Association of Schools, all Palace Theater Education Series  shows are carefully selected to address specific curriculum for students grades K-12, including history, language arts, humanities and bully prevention. Before the show, teachers are equipped with a package of study guides, workshop ideas and homework assignments that reinforce State Curriculum Standards in Education while enhancing students’ everyday academic work.

Tickets for most performances, excluding a special Thursday matinee student discount price for Jersey Boys, are $8.00, and the field trip coordinator attends free. Individual ticket prices are $10. Tuesday, January 14 – 9:30am & 11:30am (Best For Grades: 3-8)

An escaped slave’s beliefs are challenged when he befriends a young Confederate soldier. The two may be of different races and on different sides of the Civil War, but they have much to teach each other about bravery and loyalty.
