WATERBURY – Romance will be in full bloom at the Palace Theater this Valentine’s Day weekend when multi-platinum recording artist Jim Brickman brings The Love Tour to Waterbury on Sunday, February 16, at 2p.m. Tickets for the concert, sponsored by ION Bank, are $65, $45, and $35, and can be purchased by phone at 203-346-2000, online at www.palacetheaterct.org, or in person at the Box Office, 100 East Main Street in Waterbury.

During The Love Tour, music lovers will experience the sounds of award-winning hit-maker, pianist and recording artist Jim Brickman as he brings one of the most entertaining and romantic concerts of the year to Waterbury. With dazzling solo piano and star-studded vocal collaborations featuring special guests Anne Cochran and electric violinist Tracy Silverman, Brickman will wow patrons with his hits “Valentine,” “If You Believe,” “Love of My Life” and more, while striking the perfect balance between musical intimacy, compelling storytelling and audience interaction.

Following the concert, Riverhouse Catering will prepare a 5 p.m. three-course dinner in the Palace’s Poli Club, located on the mezzanine level of the theater. The dinner is $40 for members and $50 for non-members, which includes tax, service fees, coffee, and tea. A cash bar is also available and guests can view the pre-fixe menu in advance at www.palacetheaterct.org/dining. Seating for the dinner is limited, and reservations can be made when purchasing tickets through the Box Office.

Throughout his long career, Jim Brickman has achieved 27 Top 40 singles on the adult contemporary charts, including 14 Top 10 smashes. His collaboration with country songstress Martina McBride, “Valentine,” scored a number one hit on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart and a Top 10 country hit in 1998. Other Brickman staples include “Peace” and “The Gift,” “Simple Things” and “Never Alone.”

Brickman has shared his artistry with such luminaries such as Kenny Loggins, Carly Simon, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond, and Olivia Newton-John. He has been rewarded for his melodically sublime style with two Grammy Award nominations, two SESAC “Songwriter of the Year” Awards, a Canadian Country Music Award and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association.
