Preview of Phoenix Theater Company's 'The Rocky Horror Show'

The Phoenix Theater Company will be bringing it's critically-acclaimed production of Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show back to Trinity on Main this October.

Join the Phoenix Theater Company for their 40th Anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show, October 11-26, at Trinity-on-Main in New Britain, CT. Of course there will be special midnight shows. This 70s cult classic, written by Richard O’Brien in 1973, is known for its campy humor and audience participation. The play became a movie, in 1975, which is still being shown at Midnight shows around the world.

See mad scientist Frank N Furter corrupt the innocent Brad and Janet and try to make his perfect man. Join Magenta and Riff-Raff in their memories of happier days. Watch Columbia and Eddie have a good time…for a while anyway. See Dr. Scott roll around the stage and hear Rocky grunt. Heckle the Narrator as he abuses you right back! Prop bags will be sold so you can make yourselves part of the fun!

The leads are portrayed by Michael Gonsalves (Ellington) as Frank N Furter, Jen Augeri (Portland) as Janet, Brian Ballou (East Hampton) as Brad, Em Mazotas (Middletown) as Magenta, John Demetre (East Haven) as Riff Raff, Eden Beaudoin (New Britain) as Columbia, Steven Taliaferro (Bethel) as Eddie/Doctor Scott and Chazz Logue (Torrington) as Rocky Horror. Keri Boe (Enfield) and Danielle Kalman (Naugatuck) will open the show as the Usherettes. Jason Ferrandino (New Britain) is the Narrator. Also in the talented cast are Jenn Lohmann (Wethersfield), Nick Hirth (South Windsor), Joshua Thompson (Berlin), Jeanie Wright (East Hartford) and JD Bérénice Achille as Transylvanians.

The show will be Directed by Chris Ryan (Bristol) and Music Directed by Jason Ferrandino (New Britain). Choreography is by Keri Boe (Enfield) and set design and construction is headed by Chris Ryan (Bristol). Lighting and sound design are by Joe Marturano (Kensington) of Thunder and Lighting Productions and the stage manager is Lynne Mazotas (South Windsor). The Costumer is Solveig Pfluger. Makeup and set construction is by cast members. Photography and poster design is by Victor Gonzalez of VG-Arts. Publicity is by Frank E. Bradley (New Britain).

The Phoenix Theater Company will bring “The Rocky Horror Show” to Trinity-on-Main at 69 Main Street in Downtown New Britain, CT, on Friday and Saturdays, October 11--26 at 8:00 p.m. with special Midnight performances on October 12, 18 and 26. Tickets are $22 in advance and $26 for at the door. Special VIP Seating (the first 5 rows of the front section) can be purchased at the door for an extra $4.
