Students Get Up Close and Personal with 'Jersey Boys' Cast

Lucky students discuss the production with members of the national tour.

STUDENTS GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH JERSEY BOYS CAST Waterbury –   Cast members Candi Boyd, Devon Goffman, Stephen Cerf and Bryan Hindle from the JERSEY BOYS National Tour took time before Opening Night at the Palace Theater on Wednesday to discuss the production and answer questions from students participating in the theater’s after-school character development program, Perspectives and Perceptions.

Based on themes presented in the national touring Broadway productions of JERSEY BOYS and ELF The Musical, the two-month education program sponsored by American Savings Foundation takes high school students on a journey of self-discovery during which they tackle the topics of discrimination, bullying and stereo-typing, in addition to examining how one’s personal perspective (or self-concept) can be affected both positively and negatively by outside perceptions.

In addition to meeting with members of the cast, students also received complimentary tickets to show, and at the conclusion of the program, will be required to create an original artistic project inspired by the themes address throughout the program.
