Naugy Pride U11 Boys defeat West Haven

The Naugy Pride U11 Boys travel team continued its great play on Saturday defeating West Haven down in West Haven 4-1. Naugy stays in the hunt for a league title in their first ever season together with a league record of 3 wins, 1 tie and 0 losses with two games remaining. Overall, Naugy is now 6 wins, 2 ties and 3 losses.

Naugy went down early as they have done in the past couple games with West Haven scoring to go up 1-0 at the 6 minute mark. Naugy tied the game right before half time on a great corner kick goal by Jay Barth. Naugy controlled play throughout the half and when they finally found the net, it all opened up for them.

In the second half, Naugy continued its dominance and went out and scored three more for the 4-1 victory. Steven Alziphat, Tyler Demoura and Tommy Pompei scored for Naugy while Chad Mahler, Ryan Kiely, Nelson Alves and Chris Akinduro all played well for Naugy.

Naugy will welcome Stratford on Friday night at 8pm at Breen North. This game will turn out to be a winner take all for the league. Naugy needs a win or a tie to stay in the hunt. With a win, all they need to do is tie Madison on Nov 9, with a tie, they will need to win against Madison. It should be an exciting game on Friday.
