Former Owner of Naugatuck’s Sagres Restaurant Maria Pinto, 64

Maria Fernanda (Amador Alves) Pinto, 64, of Naugatuck and Seminole, FL, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Largo Memorial Hospital in Largo, FL. She was the wife of Adriano Pinto.
 
Mrs. Pinto was born in Portugal on Nov. 12, 1948, a daughter of the late Avelino Alves Penedones and Maria daGloria Afonso Amador. She was a lifelong Naugatuck resident and was the former owner of Sagres Restaurant in Naugatuck.

She enjoyed crocheting, home decorating shopping, but most of all she loved being with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
 
Besides her husband of 39 years, she leaves two daughters, Sandra Ramos and her husband Carlos of Naugatuck and Elizabeth Reisinger and her husband Stephen of Fairfield, CT; a brother, Manuel Jose Alves of Sintra, Portugal; her grandchildren Adrian Ramos and Gabriel Reisinger.   

She was predeceased by her sister, Maria DaConceicao Amador Alves.
