Longtime Naugatuck Resident Rose Garlinski, 93

Calling hours set for Friday morning at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rose Grace (Cincogrono) Garlinski, 93, previously of Naugatuck, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Care One at Madison Avenue, Morristown, N.J. She was widow of Henry “Orky” Garlinski.

Mrs. Garlinski was born in Waterbury on June 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Cincogrono. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and most recently lived in Morristown. She was a member of the Naugatuck Emblem Club 160, St. Hedwig’s Ladies Guild, the Naugatuck Senior Center, AARP – 495 and the New Jersey Red Hats.

She leaves her daughter, Marianne Garlinski Corrado and her husband Bill of New Providence, N.J.; two granddaughters, Alexandra and Christina Corrado of New York; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck, CT. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. 

Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck from 10-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Naugatuck Emblem Club Scholarship Fund, c/o #160 Naugatuck Club, Box 253, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
