Obituary: 103-Year-Old Borough Resident Dies

Hazel I. Hall died Wednesday. Her obituary is courtesy of Alderson Funeral Homes.

NAUGATUCK - Mrs. Hazel Irene (Davis) Hall, 103, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away Wednesday evening Feb. 9, 2011 at the Waterbury Hospital.  She was the widow of the late Charles E. ‘Red’ Hall who passed away in 1962.

Mrs. Hall was born in Danville, PA, May 12, 1907, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Davis and was a Naugatuck resident for many years. She had worked at Uniroyal-Footwear Div. and retired from the Lewis Engineering Co. She was a member of the Hillside Covenant Church.

She leaves her Grandchildren; Cynthia Taurinski and her husband Mike of St. Cloud, FL, Gary Donovan and his wife Nancy of Waterbury, Lynn Donovan of Naugatuck, Randy Motter of Columbus, OH, Vickie Motisko of Clarks Summit, PA and Scott Motter of Allentown, PA; 10 Great-Grandchildren, Eric Lyna, Jodi Giglio, Brian Donovan, James Taurinski, Jonathan Taurinski, Scott Motisko, DJ Motisko, Joley Motter, Danielle Motter, and Stefanie Motter; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Avery Giglio, Carter Giglio, and Mckenzie Lyna; a Daughter-in-law, Paula Motter of Olyphant, PA. She was predeceased by a son, John Motter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Feb. 12, 2011 at 2 pm at the Hillside Covenant Church, 100 Hillside Ave. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in the spring.  There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
