Obituary: Antonio J. Lebreiro, 76, of Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Antonio Julio Lebreiro, 76, of Naugatuck, passed away early Saturday morning July 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital.  He was the husband of Maria (Moreda) Lebreiro. 

Mr. Lebreiro was born in Morcovo, Portugal, Oct. 24, 1937, a son of the late Luis Manuel Lebreiro and the late Lucinda Amelia (Dias) Lebreiro and was a resident of Naugatuck since 1974.  He retired from the Naugatuck Glass Co. in 2003 with over 30 years of service, and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury.

Besides his wife of 47 years, he leaves one daughter Christina Dinis and her husband Martino of Naugatuck; 3 sisters, Cueo Lebreiro of Portugal, Anna Vaggiuro and Maria Cabeleria both of Naugatuck; 4 grandchildren, Angelo, Jonathan, Sandra, and Justin, and one great-granddaughter, Delilah, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Joao Jose Lebreiro.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church   2071 Baldwin St., Waterbury  for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the procession leaves for church.
