Obituary: Antonio V. Padeiro Dies at 73

NAUGATUCK — Mr. Antonio V. Padeiro, age 73, of Naugatuck, died Thursday February 23, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the husband of Maria V. Padeiro.

Mr. Padeiro was born in Pardilho, Portugal on January 29, 1939 son of the late Lazaro and Maria Clara (DaSilva) Padeiro. He was retired from F.M.P. in Naugatuck, was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury and a member of the Naugatuck Portuguese Club.

Besides his wife, Mr. Padeiro is survived by a daughter, Monica A. Terry and her husband Alan Terry Jr. of Trumbull, a sister, Amrosa Ribeiro of Portugal, a granddaughter, Julia Marie Terry, several cousins including Antonio L. Padeiro of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Monday February 27, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to Our Lady of Fatima Church 2071 Baldwin St. Waterbury for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday February 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m.
