Belarmino C. Alves, 46, of Naugatuck, unexpectedly passed away at Westchester Medical Center on Monday, May 26, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Salete “Sally” (Martins) Alves. Alves was born in Portugal on June 5, 1967, a son of Alcides and Maria (Conceiçaõ) Alves of Portugal.
He resided in Naugatuck for the past 20 years and was employed by JLJ Enterprise in Queens Village, N.Y. He enjoyed hunting, watching soccer, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a hard worker and a dedicated father. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves his two sons, Patrick and Kevin Alves, both of Naugatuck; his brother, Constantino Alves and his wife Jacqueline of Carle Place, N.Y.; one nephew and one niece.
Calling hours will be held at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury.
