Obituary: Charles V. "Chucky" Spear, 37

Mr. Spear was an active member of the Polish American Club in Naugatuck.

Charles V. “Chucky” Spear, 37, of Waterbury, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2013, at Saint Mary’s Hospital.

Chuck was born in Waterbury, Jan. 9, 1975, a son of Charles V. and Betty A. (LeClere) Spear, Sr. and was a lifelong city resident. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He was an active member of the Polish American Club of Naugatuck and enjoyed fishing and following NASCAR.

 Besides his parents, with whom he made his home, he leaves three sisters, Mary L LeClere of Waterbury and Nancy L LeClere and Pauline A. LeClere both of Naugatuck; one half-brother, Paul P. LeClere of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two cousins, Tim and Tom LeClere of Waterbury and a niece, Rosa Vicente of Naugatuck and his special buddy, his dog, Max.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Polish American Club, 199 Bridge St., Naugatuck, 06770-2979.
