Obituary: Christine T. Fox, 58, of Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK – Christine T. (Yakabowskas) Fox, 58, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on Friday, October 12, 2012 after a brief battle with lung cancer.  She was the devoted wife of Mark Fox. Christine was born Hartford on December 26, 1953, daughter of the late Joseph and Rehta (Geutchas) Yakabowskas.  She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck, 68 Celentano Drive, and worked in the metal industry, where she was a master at her trade.

Christine was a comedian in her own right and a nurturing mother. In addition to her beloved husband of 35 years and best friend Mark, she leaves three daughters, Crystal Fox, Ashley Fox, and Nicole Fox; two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Anthony Cortez; her two sisters, Karen Dilger and Patricia Young; two brothers, Carl Yakabowskas and Joseph Yakabowskas, Jr.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Falan Fox.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck.  Please meet DIRECTLY at the church at 9:45 a.m.  Inurnment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
