Obituary: Diane Gentile, 60

Miss Gentile enjoyed poetry and was an avid fan of the NY Mets.

 

Diane A. (Duford) Gentile, age 60, wife of Louis A. Gentile, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the VITAS Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born in Manchester, NH on March 23, 1952, daughter of Maurice and Lucille (Thibeault) Duford of Concord, NH. Diane was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull she resided in Naugatuck since 1999.  She enjoyed poetry and was an avid fan of the New York Mets.  Coming from a wonderful family and despite her disability, she was a wonderful person and had a heart of gold. Diane was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and her faith in Jesus Christ guided her in her marriage and throughout her life.

Besides her husband of 30 years and her parents, she leaves six brothers, Larry, David, Donald, Leonard, Michael, and Daniel Duford; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced.  The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck is assisting the family with arrangements.  To send an on-line condolence, please visitwww.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
