Emilia “Millie” Longo, 92, passed away Sunday November 4, 2012 at Abbott Terrace Health Center in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Felix Longo who passed away in 1981.
Mrs. Longo was born October 15, 1920 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Frank and Cacilda (Borges) Coelho.
She is survived by her three daughters Janet Papallo of Naugatuck, Patricia Stigliani of Poway, CA and Susan Gallino and her husband Peter of Naugatuck; her six grandchildren Lisa Papallo, Laurene Soper, Shelley Perlini, Peter, Bryan and Todd Gallino; 14 great grandchildren as well as her brothers-in-law Joe Marino and John Lugaresi. She is predeceased by her sons-in-laws William Stigliani and Thomas Papallo; her siblings Jack, George, Alfred, Domenic and David Coelho, Laura Marino, Anna Lugaresi.
Mrs. Longo’s family would like to thank the caregivers at Abbott Terrace Health Center for their continued compassion and care during her time at Abbott Terrace.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at 4 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
