Obituary: Francis H. Caulfield, 89, of Naugatuck

Mr. Caulfield was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., where he worked for many years. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Navy.

 

Francis H. Caulfield, 89, passed away on November 4, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret (Fruin) Caulfield.

Mr. Caulfield was born on July 27, 1923 in Waterbury a son of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Shiun) Caulfield. He was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., where he worked for many years. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Navy.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Francis H. Caulfield Jr. of Lakeville, MN, one daughter, Margaret Rader and her husband John of Edgewood, WA, his sister, Catherine Coyle of Brooklyn, NY, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by one sister, Betty Gabani.Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
