Obituary: Manuel B. Colon, Jr., 50, of Naugatuck

Manuel B. Colon, Jr. , age 50, currently of Naugatuck, passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013, in his home. Manuel was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, to Manuel B. Colon Sr. of Puerto Rico and Carmen Torres and her husband Alberto currently of Bridgeport. At the time of his death, he was a Pressman at the Knights of Columbus Printing Plant in New Haven.

Manuel had lived in the Bridgeport area for many years prior to relocating to the Naugatuck area more than 20 years ago. In addition to his parents, Manuel is survived by his sons Christopher M. Colon and Jesse Colon, both of Naugatuck, Conn.; his daughter Kassandra Colon of Naugatuck, Conn.; his brother Rafael Colon; his sister Carmen Rivera and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place right after the mass in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, Conn.
