Obituary: Natalie Moran, 89, of Naugatuck

Mrs. Moran was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

 

NAUGATUCK – Mrs. Natalie T. (Krajewski) Moran, 89, of Quinn Street,Naugatuck, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 13, 2012.  She was the widow of Joseph Moran. 

Mrs. Moran was born in Union City on February 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Theodore Felix and Josepha (Olsak) Krajewski.  She spent her youth in New Haven, graduating from St. Stanislaus Grammar School and Hillhouse High School in 1940.  She moved to Naugatuck where she raised her family and retired from Rossi Shoe Store where she was a sales clerk for many years.  She retired to help raise her granddaughter, Amanda Natalie Carey, the joy of her life.  She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

She leaves her son, Edward Francis Moran of Cheshire; her daughter, Teresa Mary Moran of Naugatuck, with whom she made her home; her grandchildren, Edward Moran of Middletown, Bryan Moran and his wife Alyssah of Hamden, Kristin and Lauren Moran of Cheshire, and Amanda Natalie Carey of Boston. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph; her brothers Stanley and Alfred; her sisters, Jean Szymolon and Mary Dart.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 15 at 10am from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street,Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.  Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery,Cross Street, Naugatuck.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9-10am.  Memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 1579 Straits Turnpike - Unit C, Middlebury, CT06762.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
