Obituary: Robert F. Carreiro, 81, of Naugatuck
Mr. Carreiro was a retired Naugatuck police officer.
Robert F. Carreiro, age 81, passed away on Friday December 28, 2012 at Glendale Health Center. He was husband of Victoria (Beloli) Carreiro.
Mr. Carreiro was born in Taunton, MA on March 21, 1931, son of the late Frank F. and Anna (Thomas) Carreiro. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and was a police officer for the Borough of Naugatuck for 32 years. He was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and a member of the Naugatuck Masons Lodge. Robert proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.
Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves a sister Shirley Schiller of Cheshire, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
