Obituary: Walter M. Wojtak, 87, of Maine

Mr. Wojtak worked 40 years at Risdon Manufacturing.

 

Maine - Mr. Walter M. Wojtak, age 87, of Maine, formerly of Naugatuck, died recently at his home. He was the widower of Lorraine (Lafo) Wojtak.

Mr. Wojtak was born in Union City on Feb. 14, 1925, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wojtak. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and was retired from Risdon Manufacturing where he had worked for 40 years. He was an avid golfer and a New York Yankees fan.

Mr. Wojtak was a United States Navy Veteran having served toward the end of World War II.

Mr. Wojtak is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hebert and her husband John of Maine and Darlene Martinez and her husband Robert of San Diego, Ca., a brother in law, Francis Lafo and his wife Joyce of Naugatuck, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Naugatuck and South Carolina. He was predeceased by a sister, Jenny Tamoski and her husband John Tamoski.

Private funeral services and burial will be held in Maine at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
