Mrs. Zita T. (Wojtczak) Evanoski, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 17, 2012 at Glendale Health Center. She was widow of Francis J. Evanoski.
She was born in Naugatuck, CT on August 6, 1927, daughter of the late Thomas and Romalda (Cesarczyk) Wojtczak. She was a life long resident of Naugatuck and she had retired from B.F. Goodrich after 21 years of service. Zita was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church where she was a member of the parish Ladies Guild and church choir.
She leaves a daughter; Theresa A. Terry of Naugatuck; her son Thomas Evans and his wife Holly of Waterbury; 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Zita was predeceased by her son-in-law John F. Terry, Sr. and her grandson Christopher M. Terry, Sr.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday June 21, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
