Deepest gratitude and humble thanks to everyone who made the fundraiser for the Sego family a rousing success Friday night. From the wonderful citizens of Naugatuck and surrounding communities, to the local businesses, small and large, that generously donated money and raffle prizes, to the local politicians and community groups that gave of their time and talent. Due to your generosity, over $7,000 was raised to help a local family. This is what Naugatuck is all about. Neighbors helping neighbors and coming together to honor a loved one that was lost at so young an age and to support the family. Know that the funds will go towards paying large funeral expenses, medical bills and help to support a local family. Special thanks to City Hill Middle School and all of the local schools that contributed. Also to Sodexo for donating the meals and their wonderful manager Kate along with Kathy who worked so hard all day then into the evening to serve us. God bless you all.
