Arrest Made in Naugatuck Home Burglary Case

Police say a Bridgeport man stole several tools from a home.

A 36-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Jan. 8 on an active warrant stemming from a home burglary in Naugatuck last year.

The man, Thomas Fogarty of Wood Avenue, was charged with: 

  • Third-degree burglary
  • Conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary
  • Fourth-degree larceny
  • Conspiracy to commit Fourth-degree larceny

According to police, Fogarty stole numerous tools from a Naugatuck residence on Sept. 15, 2013. "The accused stole a Mikita cordless drill, Mikita skill saw, saw zall, impact gun and other tools from the victim's home," police said.

Fogarty was held on a $2,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 9.
