A man carrying a pistol robbed a 14-year-old boy who was walking on Rubber Avenue late Monday evening in Naugatuck, Naugatuck police said. Officers were sent at 10:07 p.m. to the area of Port Café for a report of a robbery. The youth told police he was walking on Rubber Avenue when a black, four-door car, containing three people, stopped. The driver got out and showed a handgun that was tucked into his belt, police said. The suspect then demanded money from the boy, who then handed over some cash, although police would not say how much. The men left the scene with stolen money and kept the gun, police said. The teen was not harmed. While Port Café was noted in the police press release, Lt. Robert Harrison, department public information officer, said it had nothing to do with the actual incident. The youth happened to be walking on Rubber Avenue near that bar when he was robbed, Harrison said. A man who started a relationship with a mom of three girls just so he could molest the daughters was sentenced to 20 years in prison, suspended after six years. "Why did you have to child molest me?" asked one of the victims in a letter read to Superior Court Judge Susan Reynolds Wednesday. "You touched me in the wrong places and I did not like it. I asked you to stop. I kept on telling you it was wrong, but you did not stop. I am happy you are in jail. I hate you." Prosecutor Sharmese Hodge said the victims and mother of the victims would be happy if Carlos Santana, born in 1971, got 50 years in prison, but they accepted the plea agreement that called for 20 years in prison, suspended after six, with five years being the minimum spent in prison.
