Cat Shot Between the Eyes in Naugatuck

Police asking for public's help in their investigation.

Police say a cat in Naugatuck was shot at close range between the eyes, and are asking for the public’s help in their investigation.

Naugatuck Police and Animal Control received a report of an injured cat that had been shot with a pellet gun on August 24. 

The cat was discovered by its owner on Simsberry Road, who noticed the animal was bleeding and observed two BB pellets lodged in the cats head between its eyes. The injuries to the animal are consistent with it being shot at close range, according to police.
