Fire Erupts in Naugatuck House [Updated]

Firefighters battle a blaze in a Moore Avenue residence.

Update as of 11 p.m. on July 1:

Quick response by Naugatuck firefighters kept a fire from spreading throughout a Naugatuck home Sunday evening. The fire is believed to have started in an upstairs bedroom, possibly from an air conditioning unit.

Fire officials remained on scene at 58 Moore Avenue late into the night, working to determine the cause.

A fire reportedly broke out in a Moore Avenue house around 8 p.m. tonight. Naugatuck firefighters responded to the house, No. 58, and reportedly knocked the fire down.
