Man Charged with Stealing Scrap from Naugatuck Metal Shop

Waterbury man charged with five counts of larceny and criminal trespass.

A Waterbury man turned himself in to Naugatuck police Friday on warrants charging him in five thefts from Ram Specialty Fabrications in Naugatuck.

According to police, Valter Gjona, 33, of Briarcliff Ave., allegedly stole scrap metal from the shop at least five times between March 6 and March 25.

Gjona was charged with five counts each of larceny in the sixth degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.

He was released on $500 non-surety bond with a court date set for May 14 in Waterbury Superior Court.
