Naugatuck Man Drunkenly Jumps in Front of Cars, Damages One, Cops Say

The man is alleged to have damaged a windshield to a vehicle.

Naugatuck police say William Javins, 24, of 398 Candee Road, is accused of being intoxicated while he allegedly jumped in front of cars on early Saturday morning, according to a press release. 

Javins then is accused of swinging his arms and hitting a vehicle causing the windshield to crack, police said in the release. 

Police said the incident occurred at 5:30 a.m. on Candee Road. Javins was charged with breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. 

He was released after posting $500 bond and is due to appear in Superior Court, Waterbury on July 16.
