Naugatuck Police Blotter: April 30-May 1

Man charged with assault and woman charged with disorderly conduct.

PD: MAN COMBATS COPS FOLLOWING 911 CALL
Steven Chandler, 22, 153 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged with assaulting a police officer, third-degree assault and a breach of peace on April 26 after police responded to 982 New Haven Road for a report of a disturbance just after 1 a.m. Police said a group of individuals was trying to calm Chandler down. When police got to the scene, Chandler became combative with the officers, police said. He was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 30.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Doree Tedesco, 50, 207 Fairchild Ave., Fairfield, was charged with disorderly conduct on April 30 after police responded to Marsh Hill Road at 2:17 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. Police said Tedesco was leaving threatening messages on a family member’s answering machine, and then showed up that day. Tedesco was released on a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 1.
