Naugatuck Police Crack Down on DUI

Police arrest several people throughout town for drinking and driving recently.

 

The Naugatuck Police Department has arrested several people for driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol recently in the borough.

The following people were arrested for DUI in recent weeks:

  • Alfredo Afonso, 44, of 270 Spring St., was pulled over on Church Street on Feb. 21
  • Timothy Ramos, 22, of 42 Garden Hill Circle, Waterbury, was pulled over on Rubber Avenue on Feb. 21
  • Deandre Greene, 23, of 100 Mark Lane, Waterbury, was pulled over on South Main Street on Feb. 22
  • Harald Berger, 60, of 65 Captain Wooster Road, Oxford, was pulled over on Cotton Hollow Road on Feb. 22
  • Daniel M. Meyer, 30, of 67 View St., Torrington, was pulled over on Prospect Street on Feb. 21
  • Alex Citron, 31, of 781 Baldwin St., Waterbury, was pulled over on Rubber Avenue on Feb. 24
  • Stephen Mana, 24, of 8 Woodland St., Naugatuck, was pulled over on Woodland Street on Feb. 24

The Naugatuck Police Department urges people to use a designated driver if they have consumed alcohol. 

Note that all of those arrested are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
