Naugatuck Police Offer 12 Tips to Prevent Home Burglary

Most important: never intervene yourself, contact the police.

Citing a rise in burglaries countrywide, the Naugatuck Police Department compiled a list of 12 tips to help homeowners prevent against theft and break-ins.

“By following these simple tips, we can all help to prevent home burglaries and keep everyone safe,” the department said on its website.

If you see a crime in progress or have been the victim of a crime, contact Naugatuck police at 203-729-5222 or dial 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Add slidding glass doors to the disaster too. Heard the National Spelling Bee came to Naugatuck but couldn't find any contestants. When they came to town they drove up Maple Street and saw the sign on the Green touting last Halloween's Senior Bazaar (Weekend of November1-2). Anybody ever going to change that thing? I guess someone will have to change it when the Kerry Boys come in July. Then they turned left and saw the huge two year old sign hanging in Joe's window saying, "Going out of BISNISS" Brutal....
