Naugatuck Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspects

Detectives are tracking down leads from last night's robbery in the Union City section.

Two men walked into the Indtur Gas Station at 531 North Main St. Monday night, pointed a gun at the store clerk's head and demanded cash.

The incident occurred at 8 p.m. when the clerk was in the store by himself. He told police that two African American males left with an undisclosed amount of money from the register. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Police are now searching for two suspects described as follows:

Suspect 1: Black male, 6-feet, 5-inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head and dark framed sun glasses. He displayed the handgun and was wearing black gloves.

Suspect 2: Black male is descried as approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. A clothing description was not provided.
