Naugatuck Teen Accused of Starting a Brush Fire

Teen used a lighter to set fire to leaves and sticks, police say.

Naugatuck police arrested a juvenile for allegedly using a lighter to set fire to sticks and leaves, police said in a release Tuesday morning. 

Police said 5:09 p.m. Saturday they responded to Elm Street for a brush fire. Investigation reveled the juvenile, who is under the age of 17, allegedly used a lighter to set the fire, police said. 

The juvenile was charged with breach of peace and reckless burning.
