Police Arrest Man For Fighting Teens Outside of Town Hall

The incident occurred Tuesday evening in downtown Naugatuck when one man pulled a knife on two teenagers.

 

A local man was arrested after he allegedly threatened two 15-year-old boys outside of Town Hall with a knife and then punched one of them Tuesday evening, police said.

Anthony Trotta, 19, of 18 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was arrested for the incident, which occurred just before 5 p.m.

Police responded to a call of a possible fight in progress and talked to several juveniles gathered outside of Town Hall; they described the incident for police, according to a police report.

Trotta was the only person arrested. The report does not indicate whether anybody sustained serious injuries.

Trotta was charged with breach of peace, risk of injury to a child, second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.

He was held on a $5,000 bond and was arraigned Wednesday at Waterbury Superior Court. The details of his arraignment could not be verified.
