Press Release from Naugatuck Police
On March 7, at about 01:30 a.m., Naugatuck Police attempted to stop a black Chevrolet pickup which was traveling northbound on New Haven Road. The vehicle fled from officers and crashed a short time later in front of Al's Hot Dogs, 248 South Main St.. The vehicle involved was determined to have been stolen from a residence in Bethany.
A witness to the crash advised that two occupants fled the vehicle on foot. The only description of the suspects obtained was that one was wearing “a red clothing item." The suspects were observed by the witness to have fled into the wood line located behind the South Main Mobil station next to Al's Hot Dogs.
A track was conducted by Naugatuck K-9 Officer Kosky however the search was unable to lead to the suspects.
