A federal jury convicted a New Haven man - who crashed in Monroe after a high speed chase - of a weapons charge. The jury found the man, Kevin Mills, 23, guilty Thursday of possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Mills and two others were charged after a chase that ended on Route 34 as they got near the Stevenson Dam in Monroe. After the crash, Mills, a passenger in the front seat, was found unconscious with a loaded, sawed-off, 12-gauge shotgun between his knees. on this case.
