Police Blotter: Brass Knuckles Arrest

The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations at this point.

ASSAULT
Michael Barnett, 48, 186 Webb Road, Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace after police took him into custody on warrant on Feb. 16 after police said he was involved in a fight on Church Street on Jan. 27 at 11:12 p.m. Police accused Barnett of punching the victim in the face, who sustained minor injuries. Barnett was held on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 23.

FAILURE TO APPEAR
Jason Baldino, 27, 86 West Road, Beacon Falls, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Feb. 16 after police said he turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Baldino was released on a $2,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 2.

WEAPON IN VEHICLE
Stephen Sorriero, 24, 8 Bond St., Naugatuck, was charged with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and use of drug paraphernalia after police investigated a suspicious car on Oak Street on Feb. 17 and found a set of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia on the accused during a pat down. Sorriero was released on a $5,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 3.
