LARCENY
John Fruin, 38, 167 High St., Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft by transfer and receiving goods through the illegal use of a credit card after police said he was arrested on May 19 on a warrant from his home. Fruin is accused of stealing a MasterCard from one of his relatives and charging $2,777.65 to the card. Fruin was released on a $2,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.
LARCENY
Stephen Woermer, 22, 143 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after he turned himself in on an active arrest warrant on May 20. Woermer is accused of stealing a 40-pound bag of copper, valued at $126, from a construction site under the Salem Bridge on March 7. Woermer was released on a $500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 1.
DUI
Jose Alejandro, 26, 24 Marone St., Waterbury, was charged with driving under the influence on May 22 after police said officers caught him urinating the roadway on Maple Street with his car running. When the officer approached, Alejandro entered the car, police said. During the investigation police determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Alejandro was released on a $1,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.
ASSAULT
A female youthful offender was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace on May 19 in connection with an incident on March 19 at Naugatuck High School. The youthful offender was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 1.

A male youthful offender was charged with disorderly conduct on May 21 in connection with an incident on April 25 at 41 Millville Ave. The youthful offender was released to his stepfather and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court on May 23.

Paul Ayoub, 49, 65 Village Circle, Naugatuck, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order on April 26. No further information was provided.

Angel Velez Jr., 28, 28 Elk Ave., Waterbury, was charged with driving under the influence, improper use of a high beam, a failure to drive on the right and a failure to keep right of a curve after police said he was driving northbound on New Haven Road and was weaving in the lanes of traffic on May 19. Velez was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 2.

A female juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct on May 19 after police said they were dispatched to domestic disturbance between a brother and a sister. The juvenile was released to the custody of her mother and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 20.

Dmitry Kalinin, 21, 29 Cardinal Lane, Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace on May 19 in connection with an incident between two brothers on Jan. 27.
