Police Blotter: Men Charged With Assault

The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations until proven otherwise in a court of law.

VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER
Jose Cancel, 24, 34 Colley St., Waterbury, was charged with violation of a protective order on July 8 after police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Maple Street. The accused was a passenger in the vehicle. Cancel was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

ASSAULT
Joseph Pinto, 55, 43 Madison Terrace, Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace after police responded to the area of Aetna Street by Cliff Street for a fight in the roadway on July 8. Pinto was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

ASSAULT
Damon Pinto, 33, 90 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault after police responded to a the area of Aetna Street by Cliff Street for a fight in the roadway on July 8. Pinto was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Tracy Hinnant, 38, 154 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 8 after police responded to a report of an argument at his home. Hinnant was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11. 

FAILURE TO APPEAR
Annika Ekbergh-Peek, 26, 71 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree failure to appear on July 8. Ekbergh-Peek was held on a total $37,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

ASSAULT
Martha Keidel, 28, 80 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to her home for a report of a disturbance. Keidel was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11. 

BREACH OF PEACE
Scott Guy, 38, 1081 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer on July 9 after police responded to a disturbance at his residence. Guy was held on a $2,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

DUI
David Fish, 31, 33 Sharon Ave., Naugatuck, was charged with not having narcotics in the proper container, driving under the influence and a failure to drive at the right speed on July 10. No further information was available.

FAILURE TO RESPOND TO AN INFRACTION
Amber Munley, 20, 200 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged with a failure to respond to an infraction on July 10 after police said she turned herself in. Munley was released on a $100-court set cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 20.

NOT HAVING PROPER INSURANCE
Carmelo Feliciano, 18, 17 Lilac Ave., Oakville, was charged with a failure to register a car, having tinted windows that did not comply with laws and not having proper insurance on July 10. No further information was available.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
Jennifer Spezzano, 31, 181 Hazelwood Ave., Bridgeport, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on July 11 after police invested a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot of the Mobile Station on South Main Street. Spezzano was released on a $2,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 20. 

ASSAULT
Edward Raimo, 26, 129 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and violating a protective order after police responded to his home for a report of an argument. Raimo was held on a $5,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11.

CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER
Susan Carrano, 29, 129 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order on July 11 after officers were dispatched to her home for a report of a domestic disturbance. Carrano was held on a $2,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 11. 

DUI
Garrett Dessureau, 47, 58 High St., Naugatuck, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and a failure to make a left turn on July 11. No further information was available. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Nicholas Guarente, 22, 290 Tanwny Thrush Road, Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace and first-degree criminal mischief on July 11. No further information was available.
