Police & Fire: No Injuries After Car Rollover

Fire calls

Some recent fire calls that the responded to include:

A rollover accident on Thursday afternoon in the senior housing complex at 53 Conrad St. (See photo attached.) A woman driving the car spun out of control and flipped the car. Lucikly, nobody was seriously injuried in that accident, firefighters said.

Firefighters also spent time this past week searching for a man who was missing in the Naugatuck State Forest for seven days. Miraculously, the man survived a rough fall in the woods in which he suffered serious injuries, including a possible broken pelvis and leg. Emergency responders believe the man crawled for much of the time he was in the woods. .

William Merriam, 54, of 288 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, criminal violation of a protective order.

Devon Messenger, 18, of 13 Forest St., Naugatuck, failure to respond to an infraction.
