Police: Man Tackles Pregnant Woman

The Naugatuck Police Department arrested a 29-year-old man for assault on a pregnant person, plus several others recently.

 

James Eustace, 29, of 151 Andrew Mountain Road, Apt. 164, Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree assault on a pregnant person and disorderly conduct after tackling a pregnant woman to the floor, police said.

John Charland, 28, of 185 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was found in possession of a Morphine pill, heroin and a syringe when pulled over on March 1 on Rubber Avenue. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, failure to keep narcotics in original container and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle Basta, 26, of 1081 New Haven Road, was charged with disorderly conduct after knocking items off of a table and knocking over a chair during an argument with a woman. Police said Basta then spit at the victim and pushed her the floor. 

 Heather Ford, 22, of 20 Irving St., Naugatuck, was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana after being found with .53 grams of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop at Scott and Cherry streets, police said.

 A juvenile was arrested after punching and kicking his mother and throwing a chair at her. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile detention center in Bridgeport after being charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Corey Wagoner, 22, of 32 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree larceny and criminal trover: damage to a motor vehicle after stealing a motor vehicle from an acquaintance on Jan. 1, police said.

Elizabeth Humphries, 42, of 66 Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged with probation violation.

Elaine Polomski, 62, of 140 Ward St., was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault after pushing and punching the victim, police said.

Christina Ardito, 20, of 19 Visconti Drive, Naugatuck, was arrested at Planet Fitness after allegedly scratching her former boyfriend’s car with a key, police said.

Valerio Martabano, 46, of 16 Dakin Drive, Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace and criminal violation of a protective order after an argument at the Comfort Inn in Naugatuck, police said.

Two juvenile males were arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight at Naugatuck High School, police said.

A juvenile male was found in possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana at Naugatuck High School.

Lindsey Roger, 29, of 523 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after stealing $37.12 worth of merchandise from Walmart in Naugatuck, police said.  

Note: Those who were arrested are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
