Shelton Police Investigating Death of 2-Month-Old Boy

Police investigating Monday's death on Howe Avenue.

SHELTON -- Shelton Police were on the scene Monday of a Howe Avenue residence investigating the death of a 2-month-old boy.

The infant, whose identity was not disclosed, was rushed Monday morning to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a Shelton Police report.

Police responded to the house — an exact address was not provided — at 7:30 a.m. today, March 11, after receiving a 911 call from the mother, who said her 2-month-old son was not breathing.

"The scene was secured by police and the detective bureau responded to the scene to investigate the child’s death. The incident is still under investigation by detectives with assistance by the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Department of Children and Families (DCF)," the report states.

Shelton Patch will provide more information as it becomes available.
