Silver Alert Lifted as Naugatuck Woman is Found Safe

Woman was located in South Norwalk; a tip from the public helped police locate her.

A 52-year-old Naugatuck woman who was reported missing on Wednesday has been located in South Norwalk, Naugatuck police said.

Evelyn Curtis was found unharmed Monday and transported to the home of a family member, said Lt. Robert Harrison, Naugatuck police spokesman.

State police had issued a silver alert for Curtis on Sunday night.

Harrison thanked the public and the media for bringing attention to this case as tips lead police to her location.
