Waterbury Woman Killed in Wrong Way Crash on I-84

Incident occurred in the area of Exit 24 in the westbound lane.

A 20-year-old Waterbury woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-84 late Monday evening.

According to WTNH, Amanda Grenier was pronounce dead at St. Mary’s Hospital following the crash, which occurred in the Exit 24 area on I-84 westbound.

Grenier was driving east in the westbound lane when the Volvo she was driving collided head-on with a Toyota around 11 p.m. on Monday. The other driver, 51-year-old Monica Evans of Bethlehem, was treated for minor injuries and later released. See WTNH for the full story.
