Woman Being Evicted Argues With Cops While Holding Box Cutter

The following information comes from the Naugatuck Police Department. Keep in mind that an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A woman who was being evicted from her Naugatuck apartment refused to leave and argued with police while holding a box cutter Wednesday morning, police said.

Police said the incident occurred at the Oak Terrace congregate housing facility at 53 Conrad S. when officers accompanied a state marshal to the home of Traci Andrews, 42.

Andrews did not hurt the officers. She was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, interfering with an officer and breach of peace.

She was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at Waterbury Superior Court.
