Woman Escapes Rollover In Naugatuck

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

A woman who appeared to be middle-aged escaped with what are believed to be minor, non-life-threatening injuries after rolling her car over on Route 68 near Maple Hill Road about 8:30 Wednesday night, emergency officials said.

The woman, whose name and age were not immediately available, was extracted from the car by Naugatuck Firefighters, while police kept her stable, emergency responders said.

A Naugatuck Ambulance Association EMT transported her to Saint Mary's Hospital.

Route 68, or Prospect Street, was briefly closed while the car was towed away. It is expected to be reopened by 9:15 p.m.
