The Naugatuck Board of Mayor and Burgesses has a regular meeting Tuesday night, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Hall of Burgesses with a full agenda, including a number of appropriations and appointments, as well as establishing Girl Scout Week in the borough.
Mayor Robert Mezzo is expected to read a proclamation at Tuesday’s meeting in honor of the 102nd anniversary of the Girl Scouts naming March 9-15 Girl Scout Week.
After a few procedural agenda items, the Board will call an executive session at the start of the meeting to discuss real estate negotiations for Rubber Ave. and Downtown Naugatuck and contract negotiations with the emergency services, sanitation and intermunicipal sewer unions.
Depending on any action taken in executive session, the Board might discuss and vote on the issues during Tuesday night’s meeting.
The Board will also be voting on a $190,000 asbestos abatement and floor repair project for Hillside Intermediate School; applying for a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant; and a number of property tax refunds.
