The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce has changed the date of its mayoral debate to Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at Jesse Camille's Restaurant, 615 Church St. in Naugatuck.
Incumbent Mayor Bob Mezzo, a Democrat seeking his third consecutive term, and challenger Jim O'Sullivan, a Republican, will answer questions pertaining to the local business climate from Yvette Wilmot, a local attorney and the chief financial officer for Sarracco Mechanical Services. Wilmot is also chairwoman for the Naugatuck Chamber, a division of the Waterbury Regional Chamber.
Tickets for the event are $30 for Naugatuck Chamber members and $40 for non-members.
The event was supposed to be held this week but was bumped back due to the fact that a local businessman, Chuck Aquavia, passed away unexpectedly. His services will be held on Thursday.
