Rebimbas pledged to continue to fight for common sense solutions to the fiscal mess that Connecticut continues to face. “We must balance the state budget and work to find real solutions to create new jobs in Connecticut. I will also continue to work to protect our seniors and children," she said.

During her two terms in office, Rebimbas said she has fought for small businesses, reduced spending and a more efficient and effective government through her bipartisan efforts.

"I enjoy being a legislator because I can give back to the same community I grew up in, work in, and live in," Rebimbas told Patch Monday. "It's my honor to represent the residents of Naugatuck and to work hard to make Naugatuck a community we can continue to be proud of and raise our families in. I will continue to fight to protect and create jobs in our state, provide quality education for our students and create an affordable environment that we all, including our seniors, can afford."
