The Naugatuck Republican Town Committee unanimously endorsed sitting state Rep. Rosa C. Rebimbas as nominee for state representative in the 70th District.
Rebimbas is currently serving her second term and is the House Ranking Member of the General Law Committee and is a member of Public Safety and Security Committee and the Select Committee on Children.
“Once again I am deeply honored to be nominated to run for State Representative and I want to thank the people of Naugatuck for giving me their support and putting their trust in me to represent their voices in Hartford,” Rebimbas said.
Rebimbas said she is looking to return to Hartford to continue to represent the residents of Naugatuck and the business owners in this State. She believes in limited government, personal responsibility and fiscal accountability in government.
Rebimbas pledges to continue to fight for common sense solutions to the fiscal mess that Connecticut continues to face. Rebimbas stated, “We must balance the state budget and work to find real solutions to create new jobs in Connecticut. I will also continue to work to protect our seniors and children.”
During her two terms in office, Rebimbas has fought for small businesses, reduced spending, and a more efficient and effective government through her bipartisan efforts.
“The relationships I have built across party lines have allowed me to negotiate and pass legislation in an effective manner. When I am in Hartford I do not see party lines, I see solutions to the challenges that the residents of my district are experiencing,” Rep. Rebimbas added.
